A 29-year-old Tisdale man is facing 25 charges, including possession of drugs for trafficking, after police found drugs including a large quantity of cocaine and methamphetamine in a drug trafficking investigation in central Saskatchewan this week.
In a news release on Dec. 12, police said officers from Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team and Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team searched a home in Peesane, southeast of Prince Albert on Dec 9.

RCMP said that search found over 3.9 kilograms of cocaine, 4.8 kilograms of methamphetamine, six firearms (including a loaded handgun), two sawed-off firearms, a semi-automatic long gun, an assault-style firearm, ammunition, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and $50,000 in cash.
Police then arrested the man at a business on 2nd Avenue West in Prince Albert, saying that a search of his vehicle found an additional 183 grams of crack cocaine, 93 grams of cocaine, 56 grams of methylenedioxyamphetamine (also called ecstasy), 21 grams of methamphetamine, and a second loaded handgun.
The man arrested has been charged with:
- possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
- possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
- possession of methylenedioxyamphetamine (known as ecstasy) for the purpose of trafficking;
- careless use of a firearm;
- six counts of unsafe storage of a firearm;
- possession of a firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle;
- three counts of possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized;
- five counts of possession of a restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without a licence or registration;
- possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number;
- four counts, weapons possession contrary to order; and
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
He appeared in Melfort Provincial Court on Thursday.
