Three teenagers are facing charges after an incident in the Walsh Acres neighbourhood in northwest Regina on Saturday where police say a victim was threatened and forced to hand over his shoes.
Regina Police Service (RPS) said in a news release on June 22 that officers were called on June 20 around 5:15 p.m. to the 300 block of Rink Avenue where the male victim told police that four teenage boys approached him, threatened him, and demanded his shoes. The victim handed them over and the suspects ran away, police added.

Shortly after, officers spotted the suspects around Rochdale Boulevard and Lakeridge Drive. When police stopped them, they said one teenager was wearing the stolen shoes and two others were carrying canisters of bear spray.
Three of the suspects have been arrested and charged. Because they are minors, their names cannot be released under Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act.
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with robbery, a 16-year-old boy has been charged with robbery and carrying a weapon, and a 15-year-old boy has been charged with robbery, carrying a weapon, and breaking his existing release conditions.
All three teenagers are scheduled to make their first appearance in Regina Provincial Youth Court on July 22.
Man charged with breaking into same home twice in a day
A 38-year-old Regina man faces breaking and entering charges after allegedly breaking into a home, waking up a resident, and returning to the same house just minutes after police left.
RPS said in a June 22 news release that on June 19 officers were called around 7:30 p.m., to a home in the 1600 block of Badham Boulevard, directly across the street from the northeast edge of Wascana Park.
Police said the resident told them a man had broken into her bedroom earlier in the day but ran away when she woke up.
Police said an iPad and alcohol were stolen from the home, and security cameras captured footage of the suspect entering and leaving.
After officers completed their initial investigation they were called back to the home within minutes of their departure after being told the man was trying to break in a second time.
Officers arrested the man and he was scheduled to appear Regina Provincial Court on Monday.
