Two men face robbery and mischief charges after Regina police linked the suspects in an August bear spray robbery to a vandalism case in July.
On July 30, the Regina Police Service (RPS) received a report of mischief in the 1300 block of 12th Avenue.
Surveillance footage captured two men spray-painting a building’s front doors and adjacent concrete wall on July 29, according to RPS.

Police identified the two suspects, though it took a few more weeks to arrest them.
That break came last week when, on Aug. 19, officers were sent to the 800 block of Victoria Avenue around 5:20 p.m. for a reported robbery.
The victim, an adult male, told officers that two men had assaulted him and tried to steal his bag and personal belongings.
“When the victim tried to fight back, one of the suspects assaulted him with bear spray,” according to RPS, before the two fled with the victim’s bag.
The victim suffered minor injuries in the assault.
Video surveillance from the incident showed that the two robbery suspects were the same men believed to have spray-painted the doors and wall in July.
RPS found and arrested the first suspect, a 25-year-old man, on Aug. 19.
He was charged with robbery and mischief under $5,000.
The next day, Aug. 20, a 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with robbery, failing to comply with a probation order and mischief under $5,000.
Both men made their first appearance in Regina Provincial Court last week.
Break-and-enter
Then, Tuesday morning around 3 a.m. police responded to a business in the 4000 block of Rochdale Boulevard for a break-and-enter.
Once at the business, officers found the suspect inside.
According to RPS, he was “uncooperative and resisted arrest.”
After a short struggle, though, police arrested the man and charged him with resisting a peace officer, failure to comply with a probation order, and break, enter, and commit.
