For the fourth time in 2022, a Regina man has been charged with mischief after a number of incidents in downtown Regina.
Police say the 47-year-old — who also was charged in January and twice in March after graffiti sprees — is accused in six incidents that were reported between the end of March and the end of September.
Those incidents occurred:
- March 25 in the 2700 block of 13th Avenue — damage to bench and doors;
- March 25-28 in the 1800 block of Hamilton Street — damage to glass door;
- Sept. 19-20 in the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue — damage to windows;
- Sept. 20 in the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue — damage to windows;
- Sept. 25 in the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue — damage to windows; and
- Sept. 26-27 in the 2300 block of 12th Avenue — damage to windows.
According to police, the incidents were similar to each other, allowing investigators to identify the suspect. As a result, six warrants for mischief and seven warrants for breach of probation were issued for the man, but he wasn’t found and arrested until this past Friday.
The man made his first court appearance on the latest charges on Monday.
