A Regina woman has been sentenced to 18 months probation after pleading guilty to theft and fraud.
Patricia Baziniak, 51, was sentenced for stealing Canadian currency and defrauding a Royal Bank on amounts that were both under $5,000.
Baziniak pleaded guilty to three counts of theft under $5,000 and one count of fraud under $5,000 in December.
In addition to the probation, Baziniak was ordered to pay restitution of $398.33 to the theft victim.
Regina police said they first got a call about Baziniak in August 2022.
Police say she was initially accused of stealing jewelry and a credit card from a woman in a seniors apartment complex where Baziniak was working.
Baziniak was also accused of stealing a different woman’s card at a different seniors complex, according to police.
A charge of use of a stolen credit card against Baziniak was stayed.
